About Coronavirus API
We have built the Coronavirus API service in order to serve the world with the most comprehensive and up-to-date coronavirus data source in the world.
As the coronavirus pandemic broke out early this year, we have realised that our company is already in the posession of a powerful set of crawling and data extraction/organising software that we could put to work immediately to collect and organise the complex data related to coronavirus cases and deaths from differently structured data sources.
If we had to build this software from scratch, it would have taken us over 2000 hours, and over £150,000, therefore, as we have already built the software throughout the years, we have had good leverage to immediately deploy a powerful coronavirus API service to help web application developers and publishers gain access to the most up-to-date numbers related to the COVID-19 coronavirus.
About our data
Our data is updated multiple times per hour, and it's taken from the most up-to-date and trusted sources in the world. You can find a full list of our data sources here.
We provide not only country-by country cases, but also cases on a location/city level for some countries. Here is a list of countries that we have comprehensive data on a city or regional level:
- United Kingdom
- More to come...
As much as we would like to offer this service for free, we unfortunately need to have two, almost full time employees (a developer and data curator) taking care of the API and constantly improving, monitoring and curating the API and the data from within the system.
This activity costs us thousands of pounds per month, but it is an essential thing to do in order to keep the data of the highest quality possible.
Our pricing starts from £150, and this plan is more than enough for most web applications and traffic levels, allowing you to make up-to 500K requests in 24 hours.
We also have higher-tier pricing for heavy-weight publishers and applications, as seen below.
By choosing a plan below, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted our terms and conditions.
